My motto: Feel the fear and do it anyway! My goal is to die with memories not dreams.
I returned to Antarctica aboard a small expedition ship with only 84 passengers. This was quite different from my last trip on a traditional cruise ship with over 400 passengers. Read my blog on my Adventure of a Lifetime.
I also returned to Myanmar, visiting Yangon and Inle Lake and also traveling for a week on one of my favourite ships, the Pandaw Kalaw on the Irrawaddy River. Myanmar is a destination I could go to again and again. This was my third trip to this magical country!
I am preparing to lead a small group trip to Morocco shortly and am looking forward to sharing the desert, casbahs and medinas in this mysterious country. I have also been working on a Traveling Film Festival with Ryerson University with our first destination being Morocco with its rich history is film production and the staging on many famous films in various locations throughout Morocco.
Setting out on small zodiacs from our expedition ship, moving between enormous, majestic icebergs, spending hours watching the activity in Penguin colonies throughout the Antarctic Peninsula, and enjoying dinner outside on the deck of our ship, the Akademik Sergey Vavilov! Crossing the infamous Drake Passage with the rough seas and rocking and rolling of the ship was definitely an experience I will not soon forget!
