Travel insurance offers peace of mind, as well as financial protection. Since participants on our tours are often travelling in remote places and on active vacations, medical coverage including emergency evacuation provisions is mandatory. Adequate Cancellation/Interruption coverage is strongly recommended to protect any non-refundable trip costs in the event of unexpected, unplanned cancellation or interruption of your trip. To facilitate this, we offer travel insurance from industry leader Manulife Financial.

Due to the ever-shifting landscape of travel and insurance, we suggest you consider a cancellation plan that includes a Cancel For Any Reason benefit. Many providers offer this, often at an extra cost, but Manulife offers this at no extra charge. In order to be eligible, you just need to purchase your policy within 72 hours of initial deposit payment. If you simply change your mind and no longer wish to travel, Manulife will reimburse up to 80% under the Premium Protection Plan* and up to 50% of the non-refundable trip cost under the All-Inclusive, Non-Medical Inclusive, Canada All-Inclusive or Trip Cancellation plans. This is in addition to the regular cancellation coverage under your chosen plan. We strongly recommend purchasing your policy at the time of booking in order to take advantage of this benefit. These plans also allow you to receive full reimbursement should you contract COVID-19 prior to departure and be unable to travel.

As travel under COVID evolves, so does insurance coverage. Manulife has recently introduced a standalone COVID 19 Pandemic Plan. This plan offers coverage for quarantine and medical expenses related to COVID should you test positive while away and also offers up to $5 million in emergency medical coverage not related to COVID*. This plan can be purchased in addition to any regular plan if eligible and goes a long way in offering peace of mind so you can enjoy your trip.
